Why is your quality better than other stores? [TOP]

Each unit we build is a one-off piece of furniture made specifically for each client. We don't mass produce any of our ranges or our custom designed products. This also ensures that each item is subject to greater quality scrutiny through the whole process.

There are also a number of differences in the methods of putting your furniture together that make Urban Key's furniture stand out in value. For example, we build-in metal frames for larger units to support the intended weights; we use screws rather than nails in many joins as they are much stronger. And as some of the main points of difference specifically for our panel board rangeswe use steel hinges for our doors; we use steel drawer runners; we use steel knobs and handles; as well as steel legs; and the units are Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibreboard, rather than the lower quality chipboard that most of us have come to know.

Where can I see some examples of the different materials and finishes available? [TOP]
At our workshop at Unit 1, Building 5, 991 South Pine Rd<, Everton Hills (through Everton Self Storage) we have a wide range of available panel finishes and colours, timber types, examples of 2 Pak and vinyl wraps. Additionally, as well as being regularly posted on this site, we have a large number of photos and images of our work and designs on file and can be viewed at our workshop

What if I want to change something on a Metropiece? [TOP]

We can make any changes to our range items to suit your desires. Feel free to call us on 07 3355 9500 to discuss your needs.

Can you send items interstate? [TOP]

Yes, we can. If you are ordering furniture to be delivered to an interstate address, your furniture will be delivered pre-assembled, or flat-packed if you advise us. Interstate freight will be arranged and is quoted separately on a case by case basis. This freight charge is additional to the listed prices on our showroom page.

Do remote controls work through the glass? [TOP]

This is a very common question. Yes they do, including the frosted or darkened glass.

How can I order? [TOP]

If you would like to purchase an item from our Metro Range, you can order in person at our showroom, with the options of cash, EFTPOS, cheque, credit card or with our No Interest Ever 12 month payment plan. You can also order online through our Online Showroom's secure payment gateway. For this option, just select one of each category of feature on the item you want and the "Order Now" button will be displayed. Then click on that and follow the prompts. If you want to order but have a query, please call us and we can help you. You may order offline, by printing off our Printable Order Form, which you can then just fax us to us on 07 3355 9303.

Please note, never send credit card details on an email. We will only take payment details in person, over the phone, on the printable order form, or as part of the formal, secure online purchase process.

We confirm all orders, so you will get to double-check all the features you have chosen before we order anything from our suppliers. We also contact you to advise of freight costs prior to any processing of payment.

What is the process after I've ordered? [TOP]

For all orders we will confirm very specifically the features you have chosen, so that you will get exactly as you want. If you come into our showroom you will be able to take home a colour swatch of the colour you've chosen for your records. A swatch is a small keycard-shaped true sample of a laminate finish, which is provided by the supplier. These swatches are samples of laminates, so your swatch is the same colour you have ordered for your furniture, but may be slightly different in finish due to the lamination process, eg not quite as glossy. Our staff can explain any differences that may be likely with each choice. If your order is received outside a face-to-face basis, we will confirm your order details by mail to your postal address. This confirmation will include a colour swatch of the finish you have chosen. The reason we do this is so you can see the real colour, rather than the colour your computer screen is adjusted to give. Please allow two days to get the swatch and order detail confirmation. Then, if you are happy with your choice, you don't have to do anything, just wait for us to let you know when the furniture is ready so we can arrange a time to deliver it to you.

If, however, you wish to make a change to anything, please let us know within 2 days of getting the confirmation letter.

The easiest way to know you've chosen the colour you want is to come into the showroom and take a look at all the swatches available.
